On a site that is dedicated to fashion it doesn't make much sense to be selling coffee, diamonds  and gold stocks and the process of milling flour. Is it possible to get information related to fashion ? [REPLY]

I may take you up on that invitation K.C. OKeefe as I live very close to your shop.

Please do not be too offended at my remarks.  As an American I can admit that American cars are inferior to Japanese cars which is why the big 3 in Detroit are about to go bankrupt.  The Japanese make much better cars than the Americans. Sometimes in order to improve we have to hear the hard truth, or at least understand the perception that people have.  Lima is gaining worldwide fame for their wonderful cooking and restaurants and hopefully Peruvian coffees will improve and gain fame as well.

See you at Cafe Verde, though I doubt I'll reveal my identity as you may spit in my coffee!!  I look forward to being proven wrong about my peruvian coffee views.  [REPLY]

While I agree than Peruvian coffee in general needs to improve alot, I still believe it is very possible that Peruvian coffee can compete with your walingford Jamaican Blue, Costa Rican Tres Rios, or Columbian Cauca.

If you don't believe me take a look at the top tier US specialty roasters like  Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea, Counter Culture Coffee, or Times Club in Japan.

And if you still don't agree, then come to Cafe Verde; Av. Santa Cruz 1305 Miraflores; ask the Barista for K.C. & I'll invite you to the try a cup of the best Peruvian coffee you've ever had. [REPLY]

Jose Tagle can you see,

I have tried Colombian, Costa Rican and Jamaican coffee and they blow Peru's coffee out of the water.  I don't have to sniff, sip and then spit my coffee out to know that Peru's coffee beans are inferior.  I've been a coffee drinker for about 30 years and in my age and experience, savoring coffees of the world, lies my expertise on coffee.

Peru's ceviche is the best though!! [REPLY]

Mr Flongersteinambergurstein,

You said:

"Peruvian coffee growers have to try to better their product if they want to gain coffee fame like in Colombia, Costa Rica or Jamaica"

Please illustrate us on what that means, what should Peruvian growers do to better their product? You must definetely be an expert to make such a wise comment.

Dear Sirs,
Is there a chicken producer in Peru who is interested in doing a joint venture in Honduras, to produce chicken and eggs for the Honduran market and for export to the surrounding Central American countries.
If there is a company or an individual who is interested, please contact me on; Lima 344 4392

Yours sincerely.

I envite you all to try a great cup of coffee at Cafe Verde, our specialty coffee house in Miraflores. . . its the same quality level I export to exclusive US & Japan specialty roasters.

I believe that Peruvain coffee can compete with the best in the world, and have spent the last 10 years of my life putting that belief into practice.
It just takes a bit of work to find the coffee. [REPLY]

I brought back a bag of coffee from La Merced, about 200 miles east of Lima, over the Andes, in the jungle. It was labled " Cafe De Chanchamayo". I also tried several Peruvian coffees from the local supermarket, Wong. Why pay $30 to $40 a pound for Kona when a good cup can be found for far less in so many places....   [REPLY]
