Photo Essay: The Lima Model Car Racing Championship

Here are some photos from the Lima Model Car Racing Championship held at the Mini Auto Track, Costa Verde, Magdalena on May 17th.  Each car was electronically monitored to decide the winners, speed, etc., of each of the 3 classes - 1/10 scale, 1/8 scale & 1/6 scale. It was a fun event and the guys are really serious.
 
Trophies were presented by the event sponsers Xtreme hobbys in Chorillos.


About the photographer:
Bruce Clark was born in Dundee, Scotland but he has lived in South America for the last 27 years.  He started photography back in the 60's using B&W film and processing his own pictures in a make-shift darkroom in the attic of his house.  Now he enjoys working with digital cameras (and no darkroom or chemicals).  Bruce views photography as a relaxing hobby and he hopes is images will please viewers as much as it pleases him to produce them.  He can be reached at: bruce.clark@odfjellterminals.com.pe
