Toscana: A bit of Italy in Lima

Just days after its opening, LivinginPeru.com had the luck to visit the store Toscana, located just minutes away from the Óvalo Gutierrez.

The store is filled with beautiful photo albums, journals, boxes, desk sets, all covered with exquisite imported Italian paper.

Toscana has various designs and collections, many of which are especially elaborated for children, weddings, and also has designs that range from classic Italian prints to cloth prints taken from the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon.

There is something for everyone in this store, with prices ranging from 10 to 300 soles.

The opening of Toscana is a great demonstration of collaboration; all of the products in the Toscana store are manufactured by six women in Cañete. These women do superior work, and the products are of extremely high quality. While the company, owned by Jackie Saettone, has marketed these products for the past ten years, they have never had their own store. This store will now give them the opportunity to show a different type of high quality artisan work in Peru.

I would highly recommend a visit to this store, and I am sure the pictures in this article will convince you. Toscana has over 160 different types and designs of paper, all of which is imported from Italy, and perfectly handcrafted in Cañete. The store has the perfect gifts for newlyweds, newborns, children, friends, and just about anyone who enjoys beautiful handcrafts.
