Dear Richard, family and your team:

With your comments and many others from other people, many foreingners can for a mental image of How is Machupicchu? but nothing like been there and see this Inca monument by yourself with your own eyes, breathing the fresh and clean air of the mountains and trying to find answers at this enigmatic Inca construction.. indescribable !!! You have to be there.
Thank you to you and all your team for the professional vocation of service, specially for the people with limited or non economic resources.
As you mention, the people have bigger hearts and more red blood cells (polycythemia) because for the altitude they need to have more oxigen for breathing. This big heart and more reed blood cells are also for their love and warm; that's the way that they are.
Hi,
If I ever went back to live in Lima I would, unquestionably, get a place in one of these towns. Six months with no sunshine would be hard to take.
By the way, the name of the town is Chaclacayo, not Choclacayo.

Dear Richard and Family,
What a lovely story and thank you very much for your great help to the people of Cusco, they are very nice and friendly.
I live in England, I am peruvian and love my country, soon will be going back and I'm also planning a visit to Cusco. [REPLY]
Great informacion!
I'm a voluntary worker currently residing in a small town in Amazonas, about 3 hours away from chachapoyas. I've only been to chacha and Kuelap once and i am planning on a trip to Cajamarca by taking the route you've taken.
I might be able group one or two of my friends to join me but what concerns me the most is that the fact the locals warn me that the route is very dangerous both in terms of road conditions and bandits..
Obviously you have to take certain risks when traveling, but any particular precautions that i should bear in mind before I set out?
Thanks! [REPLY]
A very nice write up. For more Mancora pictures check out WooHoo Bar's facebook page. [REPLY]
I hiked the Inca trail in 2009 and I agree that it is well worth it. Hands down an incredible experience. I will also say that I did go with InnovaTravelPeru and while things could have changed, they were great.

I once visited this place and hope to go there again this summer. From what I can remember, the place certainly has nice and friendly. I only thing I did not enjoy was the train ride up. I wonder if there is another way to get there. [REPLY]
I look forward to read your book. Nobody bikes in Lima out of fear of being stolen the bike. Public transport is a catastrophe, an eletric train system (i.e. Metro) is a top necessity but corrupt administrations usually have other interests. [REPLY]
Great descriptive read Rodney..planning our escape already. Inspiring pics, thanks [REPLY]
