¿Dónde está el Idiota? (Where's the idiot?) was written by Francis Veber and has reached a success without precedent. The play tells the story of Gastón, a guy that likes to organize dinners where each guest must be accompanied by an idiot. Gaston is happy to find Piñon, who he considers to be the world champion of idiots. However, he will soon realize that nights with Piñon are always unpredictable and that inviting him to dinner was one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Raquel en Llamas productions brings the play to Peru, under the direction of Rocio Tovar and the participation of an amazing cast integrated by Carlos Carlín, Paul Vega, Vanessa Saba, Carlos Ticcio and Cesar Ritter.
“Amores de un siglo” brings three universal plays together in one exceptional theater production: Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House,” August Strindberg’s “Miss Julie” and a theater adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s screenplay “Scenes From a Marriage.” Seen together, these three plays bring us to an inevitable debate about the problems between couples, and essentially, the troubles of love.
Kimbafá, a show which mixes rhythm, percussion and Afro-Peruvian dance, transforms these elements into language, with many underlying themes that exemplify the flamboyant elements of everyday life in Lima. Every instrument in the show comes together in perfect harmony. Lima is a city that is crying out and wants desperately to be heard. Kimbafá and its different sound portrays Lima in different stages: Lima at dawn, Popular Lima, a Joyful Lima. The show is a manifestation of people who enjoy their roots deeply and express their joy freely without boundaries.
Any resemblance to reality is merely talent, because the characters talk, act and sing. Come and join this new live show, with the jokes, imitations and improvisations of Hugo Salazar.
