Discromia - Photographic exhibition

Discromia, by Sandro Aguilar, shows 22 pictures in relation to his book with
the same name. Aguilar is an audiovisual communicator from the Instituto
Peruano de Publicidad.

Jazz Festival - The Charanga Mayor

The Charanga Mayor band will play typical Cuban music. This group features
two singers, flute, violin, piano and drums, among other instruments. La
Cartera, El Manicero, Guantanamera, Almendra, El bodeguero, Los marcianos
llegaron ya, Me lo dijo Adela,Soy, Regresarás, Chicabum, Coqueta, La botija
del abuelo, No me regañes, La rutina and El Sabor will be among the songs
performed.

Modulations - Music exhibition

"Modulations" expresses the evolution of electronic music as one of the deepest artistic developments of the 20th century. The exhibition presents impressive interviews, short movies and study material, among others.

Lima 2006 Book Fair in Miraflores

Lima's 2006 Book Fair will be inaugurated in a special ceremony by the Minister of Education, Jose Chang on Wednesday, November 29th.

After being held in San Borja for some years, the 2006 fair, organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Literature, moves to the district where its inspirer lived: magnificent writer Ricardo Palma. The fair offers more than sixty events and activities like special book presentations, tributes, round tables and conferences.

The fair, held in Parque Kennedy and other locations, will last until December 11th. Entrance is free.

Art for Hope - Exhibition/Sale

Oceans: A world to discover - Exhibition

"Only love. Eliminate violence against women" - Exhibition

Photographer Marina García Burgos presents an image series of many popular Peruvian women prepared to look like they were victims of physical violence.

Death of a Salesman - Theater

The Death of a Salesman (La muerte de un viajante) by Arthur Miller and is frequently considered a classic of American theater. The play that tells the story of Willy Loman, an aging salesman who is beginning to lose his grip on reality. Willy places great emphasis on his supposed native charm and ability to make friends; stating that once he was known throughout New England, driving long hours but making unparalleled sales, his sons Biff and Happy were the pride and joy of the neighborhood, and his wife Linda went smiling throughout the day. Unfortunately, time has passed, and now his life seems to be slipping out of control.

Fernando Botero: Colombia´s pain - Exhibition

For the first time in Lima, people will get a chance to see Botero's famous paintings. The exhibition will present 50 of his works, 23 oil paintings and 27 drawings depicting different elements of the country's longlasting violence.
This is a unique opportunity in town to admire the work of this mayor artist.
