ICPNA organizes its 6th Chamber Music Festival from May 7th to 14th. The festival will include the participation of various groups and orchestras from Chile, Israel, the US, Japan, Austria and Peru.

Iconos - Exhibition

The word “icon” was traditionally the name used to designate worshipped images in the Christian church. However, through time and with the help of media, its original meaning has radically changed, to now include “heroes” of all sorts: those who struggle with repressive battles against everything that can be considered an excess in the epic existence of postmodern men and women, such as Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. This collective exhibition includes works by Carlos Basadre, Piero Quijano, Cherman, Jaime Higa, Magaly Sánchez, Claudia Coca, Haroldo Higa and Jaime Romero.

Al Pie del Tamesis - Theater

A Peruvian man and woman chat in London, a city famous for its ghosts. During their conversation, in which they remember the good and bad moments of the past 35 years, many ghosts appear, and both their lives begin to reveal secrets as in a detective story. This meeting allows them, and perhaps their audience, to discover who they are.

El trabajo infantil no es un juego de niños – Photo Exhibition

Recognized Spanish photographer Fernando Moleres presents an exhibition about child labor under the title “El trabajo infantil no es un juego de niños” (Child labor is no child’s play). This collection of photographs shows the raw reality that children from over 30 countries live in, though according to the artist, they only display “the surface of this harsh drama.” The exhibition has been presented around Europe and is coming to Latin America for the first time.

Goodbye Cinema – Exhibition

Artist Diego Lama presents his fourth individual exhibition, takes a bold and original look at the reciprocal relationship between cinematography and plastic arts. He approaches this analogy through photography and video art, both of which use cinema as a medium and a cultural experience, defying its formal aspects and subverting its traditional interpretations.

Hombres, Perros y Gatos - Exhibition

Peruvian artist Manuel Lau, who currently resides in Canada, presents a playful vision about coexistence, multiculturalism and life. In these pieces, created between 2006 and 2007 in the Circulaire Workshop in Montreal, men, dogs and cats, mix and play in a state of passiveness and movement. Iconography from the Peruvian rainforest are also incorporated in these images.

Grand Masters of Peruvian Art - Exhibition

"Grand Masters of Peruvian Art" is an ambitious exhibition dedicated to works by Santiago Rojas, Edilberto Merida, Jesus Urbano and Mamerto Sanchez. Come visit and learn about some of Peru's most distinguished artists.

Lika Mutal and Gam Klutier - Exhibition

Lika Mutal and Gam Klutier, outstading Dutch artists living in Peru, will present an exhibition of their best works as one of the cultural activities programmed for the EU-LAC Summit to be held in Peru. Lika Mutal’s "Pulso de la Montaña", is made up of twelve sculptures made in various types of stone. Gam Klutier will present “Señales de Luz” with large paintings in acrylic.

Chau Misterix - Theater

Set in a suburb in the 50’s, two girls and two boys entering puberty begin to live their first adult experiences, with their passions, pain, and the inevitable contact with betrayal that destroys their paradise. 10-year-old Ruben is very curious about the world around him, but sometimes his parents and friends can't satisfy his demands. Ruben finds refuge in imagining that he is Misterix, a superhero, and through him he can imagine that he in handsome, tall and strong, that women adore him, and of course, that he doesn't need those stupid glasses. However, in growing up, Ruben will soon have to accept reality, and say goodbye to Misterix, and the omnipotence that came with him, forever.

Narices y Calzones - Theater

Since their last show, "Las Marías" have gotten new jobs, new boyfriends, have broken up with them, moved, been on diets, and gone on with their lives. Now they are back with their new show "Narices y Calzones", where they show us their neurotic and explosive side. They've faced vertigo and have given into their fears and secret pleasures. Proceeds from this event go to "Bola Roja", a group of clowns who visit sick children in hospitals.
