Titina, by Nicolás Yerovi, is a comedy fusing theater, music, dance, tourism, gastronomy and history, telling the love story of a young couple in Barranco of 1908. The play takes place on the streets of Barranco, where the actors and spectators will visit historical landmarks such as the Plazuela de San Francisco, the Puente de los Suspiros and the railway, all while following Titina’s family and their crazy adventures. The experience ends at the Posada del Angel II restaurant, where the actors and guests have lunch together.
Novalima is a production collective created in 2001 by four Peruvian musicians based in Barcelona, Hong Kong, London and Lima. Its music is heavily-driven by Afro-Peruvian and Latin percussions, blended with downtempo, dub, broken and housebeats. They will play Barranco’s "La Noche" this December 22nd.

Famous violinist Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Music will perform in concert. Kremer is recognized internationally as one of the best musicians of his generation. The Kremerata Music is made up by Ula Ulijona (viola), Giedre Dirvanauskaite (violoncello) y Andrius Zlabys (piano) and directed by Kremer. The concert will include a page by Cesar Franck rarely played, his prelude and variations of op.18, an arrangement for violin and piano by Yevgeniy Sharlat. This will be followed by the Trio Nº 2 op. 67 by Dmitri Shostakovich. The concert will end with the Quartet op.60 by Johannes Brahms.

“Platería Peruana Contemporánea” (Contemporary Peruvian Works in Silver) is an exhibit which showcases Peruvian silver works such as art pieces or jewelry and the Peruvian silver industry. The Silver market and marketing tools are the focus of the exhibit. There will be a seminar hosted by Jose Torres Della Pina targeted at those in the business.

The Alianza Francesa and the Biblioteca Nacional del Peru are just two of the organizations responsible for having put together the “Mundo Viñeta” Comic Book Festival. There are over 7000 different pieces showcased in the various exhibits held through out the festival. Each exhibit brings together the work of graphic novel pioneers and allows for an appreciation of the development of the comic from its beginnings.

For six days at the Teatro Auditorio Municipal de San Isidro, the fourth annual Festival de Jazz en El Olivar will present some of the most talented musicians for your enjoyment. "Visualmente… Vinilos" (Visual… Vinals) showcases vinyl covers from the most important and influential bands of the 60s, 70s and 80s. The exhibit displays the development of the music industry and its aesthetic through three decades of album covers. Alberto Candida serves as curator for this exhinit which illustrates the development of a bands character through its covers and the loss of this art form with the creation of the CD and the LP.

José Antonio “Cuco” Morales’ new exhibit “Estación de luz… Últimas especies” (Season of light… Last species) acts as a social commentary on the damage mankind is inflicting on nature. With over a dozen works on display ranging from medium to large formats Cuco Morales displays nature captured in its primary colors. Images of idyllic forests and lonely trails cutting through them are only a part of what this exhibit has to offer.

Salieri realizes his own mediocrity and Mozart’s amazing talent, so he decides to destroy the man that he sees as God’s instrument on Earth. War is declared, and Mozart is the battle field.

Don Juan Tenorio, the mythical character featured in the most celebrated plays of Spanish writer Jose Zorrilla, reappears in Lima at the Museum Cemetery Presbítero Maestro Matías. The show is directed by Myriam Reátegui and produced by the Cultural Center of Spain.
