Suggest an EventXXI European Film Festival

The members of the European Union, the European Commission Delegation and the Film Library of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru present the XXI European Film Festival. This year, there will be exhibitions of films from Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Finland, Sweden, the UK and Switzerland as a guest country. Conamyc - Comic Convention

Conamyc is the first International Convention of comic, animation, fantasy, and science fiction. The convention is intended to satisfy all ages, which is why during the 3 days one will be able to attend workshops, games, contests, and the presentation of international guests.

Don Juan Tenorio - Theater
Don Juan Tenorio, the mythical character, famous for his love affairs and the confrontations with his rivals, and featured in the most celebrated plays of Spanish writer Jose Zorrilla, reappears in Lima at the Museum Cemetery
Presbítero Maestro. The play includes the participation of actors Ofelia Lazo, Fernando Petong, José Luis Ruiz, Mónica Domínguez, Víctor Prada, Patricia Biffi, Héctor Rodríguez and Kike Casterot, and live music directed Rodrigo Raez.

Premio Odebretch Para El Desarrollo Sostenible - Contest

In today's world, development cannot stop, and it is our responsibility to attend to the needs of people today withouth affecting those of poeple tomorrow. Construction company Odebretch invites university students coursing studies in engineering, architecture or agronomy, to propose new perspectives on sustainable development for civil engineering, the best of which will be promoted amongst the academic community and society in general. Laboratorio - Photography Exhibition

As part of the
Mirafoto Festival, ICPNA presents Jorge Ochoa's
Laboratorio (Laboratory), an exhibition where the artist has focused his work on people's relationship with food and drinks. Also, Ochoa was last year's winner of the Salón Nacional de Fotografía ICPNA (National Photography Showroom ICPNA 2008).

Vírgenes Urbanas - Photography Exhibition

In Vírgenes Urbanas (Urban Virgins), artist Ana Orbegoso has combined colonial paintings from Cuzco with elements of contemporary urban life, creating a singular effect that highlights the true value of Peruvian women today. Orbegoso's photographs find a balance in the fusion of the traditional Andean culture and the modern, urban reality. The exhibition is part of the festival Mirafoto 09.

La Destrucción Del Olvido - Photography Exhibition

As part of the festival
Mirafoto, ICPNA invites you to
La Destrucción del Olvido (The Destruction of Oblivion), an exhibition that gathers some of the most significant photographs of Peruvian history. These photographs were all taken by
Estudio Courret Hermanos back in the period of 1863 - 1935, in Lima, and are mostly traditional portraits of Limenian families. The exhibition interestingly portrays the singularity of post-colonial Peruvian society and contrasts it to the way it embraced the influence of European cultures.

Margarita- Theater
Enjoy this great comedy written in verse, directed by Nicolás Yerovi. In the year 1822 in the district of Pueblo Libre, Lima, a young woman named Margarita is in loved. However, her aunt will arrange a marriage against her will, doing whatever it takes to stop Margarita's love, causing the most hilarious situations. The play will take place around the district itself, giving the audience the opportunity to experience a little bit of everything: history, music, dance, tourism, drama and comedy. It will also count with a cast of 17 actors and 9 musicians that will perform live. It's a great opportunity to know a little bit more of the city and enjoy yourself!

Eternity- Video/Photographs Exhibition
Eternity is the name of the latest exhibition that the Hollander artist Wouter Verhoeven is presenting at Revolver Gallery. His videos and photographs have been described as "moving paintings" that reflect the eternal seek for light and liberation of the human soul.

María Julia y el Árbol Gallinero- Children's Theater
The play tells the story of Maria Julia and her pet: a black hen who wants to be a mother. Maria Julia won't stop until she fulfills her pets wishes, getting into a number of adventures trying to find her a rooster. On the play, Maria Julia has a sister who helps her through rough times. It's a great play for kids between the ages of 3-12, that surprises and amuses them, teaching them about the fights between siblings and the search for creative solutions, the importance of tolerance, respect and liberty.

Escultura de Árbol y Arte Itinerante- Recycled Materials Sculpture
As part of the festival Amo Amazonía, the artist Francisco Burga will intervene at the Parque de la Amistad with a 5-meter wide sculpture made of recycled metal and plastic bottles as well as messages of kids from Lima and the communities of Puerto Firmeza, ANIA, Colegio André Malraux, Mukmu and Puckllay in the rainforest.

VIII Encuentro de Patrimonio Inmaterial - Cultural Event

The VIII Encuentro de Patrimonio Inmaterial, organized by the Instituto Nacional de Cultura (National Institute for Culture) gathers the participation of fourteen different Spanish American countries - Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Brasil, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Haiti, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. Each delegation will share their countries' most significant cultural aspects, ranging from music and gastronomy to poetry and typical dresses to art and dance. The event will be filled with exhibitions, parades, fairs, workshops and much, much more!

La Noche de los Asesinos- Theater
La Noche de los Asesinos (The Night of the Murderers) is a thriller that tells the story of three brothers, Lalo, Cuca and Beba. They are involved in a forbidden and dangerous game: the illogical transformation of the house they live in and the possible representation of their parents murder. A psychotic game that shows how the brothers are incapable of making life decisions, and how they are the representation of the things they criticize the most.

Oscilando Como El Paisaje - Art Exhibition
Oscilando Como El Paisaje (Oscillating Like The Landscape) is artist Carolina Kecskemethy's 7th individual exhibition. Her work here consists of great wall murals in which she combines landscape paintings and digital drawings with floral and erotic motifs, and focuses poetically on time, travel and the landscape. All of the exhibits intertwine among themselves to transmit different aspects of Kecskemethy's message.

Tango Tour 2009 - Dance Performance

The plot revolves around her, when a group of friends tries to remember what happened on her room the night she put up an innocent girl.
