The all American folks fest called SUPERBOWL is right around the corner and LivinginPeru.com is planning to get as many expats together as possible and have some fun combined with cold beers (you have to pay for your drinks) and perhaps some yummy spicy chicken wings and other snacks.

currently one of the best American style sports bars in Lima, located in the heart of Miraflores, one block from The Marriott Hotel and the LarcoMar shopping complex.


Super Bowl XLI will be an extra special one. Tony Dungy's Indianapolis Colts, who beat the New England Patriots 38-34 in the AFC Championship Game, will meet Lovie Smith's Chicago Bears. The NFL has been waiting 41 years for the first African-American head coach to patrol the sidelines at a Super Bowl. Now there will be two, and one will be the winner.

You don't have to be an American Football fan to join us. The main purpose is to provide an opportunity for our LIP readers living in Lima to meet each other and chat. And, as always, the more the merrier.

Besides, the Superbowl isn't just about football. What sticks in many people's minds for months and sometimes even years? The ads! Anyone remember the hilarious Budweiser frogs and lizards? And the halftime show is usually a spectacle and.... well, sometimes revealing. This year, Prince (or whatever his name is nowadays) will perform some of his greatest hits.

As a general price guideline, "The Corner" sells beer (chopp) for S/. 6.50 and pitchers (jarra) for S/. 17.00.
A "beer tower" (3 liters of beer with its own tap brought to your table) costs S/. 42.00.
