Living in Peru : your everyday companion

Our apartment is in Surco, (San Ignacio de Monterrico) near the University of Ricardo Palma. It's five minutes from the American Embassy and El Polo. There's a 24 hour neighbourhood watch system, two parks within a two minute walk, and a couple of schools nearby.

It's on the fourth floor. There's no elevator. Each floor has two apartments. So it's a very quiet building since there are only eight apartments total. The apartment is 81 meters squared. It has a living-dining room, kitchen, two baths, two bedrooms (we use one for an office), and library. Outside there is a patio with clothesline and sink as well.



We've remodeled both baths and the kitchen. In addition, we recently redid the parque floors and have completely repainted every room. There's an outdoor waterheater (Rotaplas, we just got it a year ago) and there's hot water in all taps.


The monthly maintenance fee is usually between 80 and 120 soles and this includes the gardener, cleaning for the outside, the outside lighting, and all water. The apartment is fully furnished with a new living room and dining room set. For more info please email Sharon, naturegirl321@yahoo.com
