A beautiful, cozy and elegant restaurant. The food is excellent and I will recommend their pink limonade. The owners are kind, and very friendly.
I highly recommended

Excellent Japanese food. Elegant and in a perfect location. Their plater which has different things is DELICIOUS. I highly recommended this beautiful restaurant.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant twice. The first time it was superb, some of the best Japanese food we had ever tasted. So, we went back a second time only to find the same dishes uninspired and poorly prepared. The quality of the food here, it seems, depends entirely on who's cooking that night! Overall, though, I would recommend it.

There are far better Japanese/sushi restaurants in Lima than Izakaya, but it's hard to find another restaurant that offers such massive servings at such low prices. When you want to pig out on sushi and still have money in your pocket for a night on the town, head to this San Borja sushi place.
My brother-in-law is a frugal Limeno, and he's the one who introduced me to Izakaya. Their sushi boats are as big as cruise ships -- I kid you not! The raw fish is fresh and well prepared. Nothing innovative, but there are lots of traditional Japanese dishes (udon, fried rice) to satisfy other diners in your party who don't like sushi.
Backpackers on a budget should check this place out.
