Founded in 2001, the "El Sol" Spanish language school has earned the reputation of being a school that caters to students who are motivated learners seeking high quality instruction. El Sol is recognized by the Peruvian Ministry of Education, and all teachers are university graduates specializing in Spanish language instruction.

New: El Sol recently launched an innovative distance education program which allows students to study Spanish online before they arrive and after they leave.

Involved Learning
"El Sol" has a homestay program for students who wish to live with a Peruvian family whilst in Lima. Additionally, the school arranges afternoon social activities from Monday to Friday, including cultural excursions, dance classes, movies, and more.

The school is located in a large period home, just minutes from downtown Miraflores. It features 13 classrooms, a cafeteria, a students´ room and broadband internet access. Miraflores is a safe and attractive neighborhood, full of hotels, restaurants and interesting side-streets waiting to be discovered and explored.

My wife spent 4 weeks at El Sol in the summer of 2005. She loved it. I also got to join the salsa and cooking classes. We stayed in hotels within walking distance.

The school was very helpful in many ways including arranging a ride from the airport. We had hoped she could return to study more Spanish this last summer... hopefully someday.
