The American Women’s Literary Club has a new website at http://awlc.webs.com Look us up for current information about Lima’s premier English-speaking women’s club, founded in 1922 and still current, active, and pertinent in the 21st century.
The AWLC is a group of both international and native English-speaking women with a variety of interests such as literature, current events, culture, music, technology, flowers, and art, just to name a few. We also have a strong commitment to education and a very active social work and scholarship program for needy Peruvian children and those who teach them.
We meet on the first Monday of every month at 3pm from April through December in Chase Hall of the Union Church, Miraflores.
After a short business meeting, we enjoy a cultural presentation and an informal tea during which we catch up on news and visit with friends. Our programs offer a wide range of topics and our special outings offer members and their guests opportunities to explore unique points of interest. We also publish our well-known bi-lingual cookbook. Our annual “Noche de Musica“ event is usually a sold-out affair and continues to grow. There is also an extensive lending library available to our members, as well as three active book discussion groups.
Do visit our website, share it with your friends. You may also contact us at awlcinperu@gmail.com if you have any questions.

It was a great honour to serve on the board for 2 years.
