Gerson is right. The best and safest way to travel from Iquitos down the Amazon River to the board towns of Leticia, Colombia and Tabatinga, Brazil is with the new "jet boats" of Transporte Golfinho. These boats use the same type of tubine jet engines that airplanes do. For more information visit Transport Golfinho. These jet boats sure do beat getting stranded on the river in a broken down boat.
