I am a current second year IB student at San Silvestre, so my perception of the school may be slightly subjective, however i must say that san silvestre is an excellent school. FIrst, a quick personal background, I moved to Peru when I was 14. I hated peru at first, and the first year here was terrible. However during the second year I decided that either I was going to take advantage of this experience or wallow for the next 3 years, i did the former, and now I can truly say that I will mis peru very much, and alot of this has to do with san silvestre. Firstly San Silvestre is extremely open and ready to help you with any problems you may have, there is a sense of family among the promotion (the grade). Academically San Silvestre is rigorous yet provides you with mature and rounded education. It is recognized internationally for its academic success, and it seems every year there is another teacher going off to do some sort of presitigious work shop. It is also known throught Peru that San Silvestre tends to get the best grades in international tests, IBs and IGCSEs.

One of the greatest qualities though of San Silvestre is probably the amazing amount of effort and importance they give social work done by us students. There are 8 social projects that exist now within the school ranging from ecological friendly campaigns like "ponte pilas" to more humane experiences such as raising money for and visiting a woman's hospital.  I personally am involved in visiting an institution which gives rehabilitarian aid to children with extreme disabilities and no means to pay for therapy elsewhere, and take part in several eco friendly projects.

What I am trying to portray is that San Silvestre creates well rounded students, independent mature thinkers. I truly believe that San Silvestre has a great part in making me the person I am today.
