Arugula is the name of a very fashionable type of Mediterranean lettuce and also the name of the restaurant run by Chef Gianinna Piaggio, graduate of the prestigious Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School. During the past 3 years she has been conquering different palates and tastes with her home style cooking. Arugula offers a really cool ambiance that is perfect when out for a night of theatre or for even the most casual of evenings. Arugula offers a lineup that includes a piadina starter stuffed with goat cheese followed by a dijon steak carpaccio or the amazing 3 cheese stuffed raviolis with artichokes and tomatoes passing through, delicious salads, like the spinach and roquefort salad. All this with a good glass of wine or ask for a bottle from our extensive wine list and of course dessert. We have irresistible choices such as Crème Brule or a blueberry cheesecake, chocolate soufflé and so on... we guarantee you’ll become our ‘caserito.’

Since its opening, Donatello is considered one of the best restaurants for Italian food in Lima.
Founded on August 8, 1987, the restaurant began serving the most sophisticated tastes at its initial location on Av. Encalada 551, in Surco. With its warm and homely ambience resembling a typical Italian trattoria, Donatello began offering high quality cuisine and excellent service to Peruvian families, foreign residents and tourists in Lima.
Due to the positive response from its guests, Donatello opened its second and largest restaurant on January 2, 2004, located on Av. José Pardo 1010 in Miraflores. At this location the restaurant design consists of a more flexible layout with various dividers, making it ideal not only for private dining but also for larger events like family gatherings or corporate dinners.
In Miraflores, Donatello also offers a wide variety of drinks at a large and inviting bar. Try various entrees and enjoy some wine, pisco and other drinks.
The restaurant’s founders, chefs Liliana Terry and Lalo Martins have created a menu consisting of more than 120 gourmet dishes including antipastos, salads, wood oven pizzas, pastas, risottos, lasagnas, cannelloni, timbales, steaks, and sea food.
The secret to Donatello’s success is in maintaining a strong base in Italian cuisine while adding key ingredients from traditional Peruvian dishes. By doing this, the restaurant has been increasing the number of fusion dishes it offers that distinguish Donatello from other Italian restaurants in Lima.
We invite you to experience Donatello for yourself. Feel free to ask for our menu in English, and we hope you enjoy fine Italian-Peruvian fusion in Lima and the warm and friendly service we offer.
