Chala is an ancient word used by our native people, way before Castillian was even spoken. Chala is a region that retains an old fishing tradition used by the old artisan´s method that goes deep out to the ocean as far as 500 meters, where the skirts of the Andean mountains begin. This diverse and fertile region was born from travelers, these valiant men without fear and no horizons have left a vivid impression in this hacienda, the most cultured of high society apart from their most savored cuisine of this continent. Our chef, and Chala´s crew as a whole, has traveled the coasts of the world, just as our ancient predecessors did, in search of new tastes and techniques. As a result, we have come up with a unique menu which blends the sensuality of oriental cuisine, the elegance of Mediterranean flavor, and the wholesomeness of our own coastal cuisine. At Chala, we cook delicious because we want you to visit us time and again. We understand that not all of our costumers are professional chefs; however, we are certain that all of our costumers possesses a gourmet taste. At Chala we know that if you do not bite on to something good, you will not come back. You can find us at the most traditional and magical site of Barranco, just from 20 meters of the famous “Puente de los Suspiros" (Bridge of Sights).
