The Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano is the biggest Binational Cultural center in Latin America. It is highly recognized for its contributions towards the development of the community through the teaching of English and Spanish languages for general understanding; for making people aware of books and of reading habits through its library net and for its varied cultural programs of international level, such as galleries and auditoriums.
We offer Spanish classes for those who would like to communicate with the new world around them. These classes represent a longstanding ICPNA tradition of extending a hand to our friends from afar as they prepare to live in a new country and culture.
Today´s classroom is comprised of students who have different learning styles, special needs and represent different cultural backgrounds. Emphasis on student-centered instruction provided by the Spanish Courses allows the teacher to capitalize on and deal positively with such diversity and encourages students to become involved in their own learning.
We anticipated the requirements of today´s classroom by offering ideas for setting up a cooperative learning environment for students. The Spanish Course contains many students-centered elements that allow students to expand their learning experiences.
The ICPNA supports a wide variety of cultural activities, such as concerts, art exhibits, plays and others. Consequently, many foreign visitors have found our institution to be the ideal place to learn about our country.
