This is a great market of about 20 stalls on Calle 15 de Enero, mostly food but also some crafts and a musical instruments stall. Here you can eat a delicious vegetarian wrap (3.50 soles), with "carne de soya" (tofu), some organic cakes (from 1.50 to 5.0 soles for the excellent sauco cheesecake) or vegetarian empanadas (hard to find elsewhere). You will also find sellers of "Vacas Felices" (Happy Cows) selling natural biolive yogurt (jars of 4 or 6 soles), whilst another stall sells good goat cheese with various flavours (5 soles per pack).
You can also recycle plastic bottles and paper and the Vacas Felices will take your clean glass jars.
Although the market is until 3pm, better get there before 1-2pm as most things will have sold out by then and seller start to pack their products at 2pm.
This is the best market I have found so far for my organic and vegetarian needs. Long live Peru Ecologica!!
