I live in Houston, but had to opportunity to visit Peru 6 times last year. I have eaten at several typical Peruvian restaurants here in the states, and in Peru, and I always order the Lomo Saltado when I do. El Hornero by far has the best Lomo Saltado I have ever tried. I would make it a point to visit the restaurant and eat the dish every time I was in Peru. They also have excellent sauces to dip bread in.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits!!

Elegant restaurant in front of the Malecon Chorrillos. Moderate pricing and good portions. Service is superb and the texture of the meats are A-1. Restaurant is full most of the time and if so and you do not want to wait, try Sonia restaurant just two blocks away or Rincon Chami a block away. After eating you can walk the food at the malecon with a superb view. Friady's they have baby pork or lechon on a stick. The anticuchos are of good size. Another place that I visit everytime I'm in Lima. Do not miss this spot the restaurant will reward your vist with their food.
