It truly is the BEST alfajor worldwide!  Does anyone know if these can be shipped to those of us here in the USA?  I would totally pay to get some of these regularly (San Jose, California).  Especially the huge CAKE/COOKIE size for a family of 10. 

Son los MEJORES alfajores en el mundo.  Alguien sabe si se puede recibir aqui en USA?  Pagaria lo que fuera para recibir regularmente aqui (San Jose, California).  Especialmente el alfajor tamaño gigantesco para una familia de 10.

OK, we went there in 1996 about a half an hour before they closed and the bakery's door was gated so you could not go inside but only transact business through the gate.This business takes advantage of foreigners! We purchased 2 boxes of Alfajores to take back with us to  the USA the day we were leaving to go back home, the nexy day we were back in the US when we opened the box and found we were ripped off in that we we charged full price for a third of a box of Alfajores. Though the product tastes ok it gives me indigestion when I eat them and henceforth is not a good gastronomical experience. Peruvian bakery goods, as well as other latin countries, are generally below par with European and US bakeries.
