As CADE was filling Trujillo´s hotels this week, & I could not afford the US$200 per room at the Libertador, I stayed again at www.xanga.com/CasadeClara
I could stay there over a month for the same price with hot water & attention 24 hours, free internet & cable TV, cheap meals & the best information on tours. It is in a much quieter suburb, 5 minutes walk from the Plaza de armas.
