It only gets 3 stars because it does have a great atmosphere.  Otherwise I'd give it 1.  The service is pretty terrible.  Our waitress served my pizza but forgot about my girlfriend's Lasagna.  I asked another server what happended to our waitress?  He told me she went out on delivery.  I later found out from the owner they have no delivery service.  Our waitress showed up AFTER I finished and told me the kitchen (probably another lie) forgot about the Lasagna.  We spoke to the owner who was a very nice man and gave us the Lasagna for free. 

Even with the gesture from the owner I cannot recommend this restaurant.  The food is nothing special and the prices are very high for Lima.  If you're in Barranco and only want Pizza I'd just go to Dominos.  Believe it or not their pizza is better, in my opinion, than Antica.   If you want to travel a bit, go to La Romana in San Isidro.  It is THE best Italian food in Lima for money.

If you just want some wine, apetizer and a peaceful romantic atmosphere then I can recommend Antica.  That's about all it's good for.

i enjoy every time i go to antica 'cause it's aa wonderful restaurant to go with my children, they can practice to do their own pizza, and when a i go only with my husbund its romantic and the food and atettion is perfect. they  had a competition for "mini pizzaioli" in Asia loved it perfect organization and the most important my children loved it and their pizza.!

Very good Italian food, good pizzas -- a place to bring a date, or the family or a group of business associates. I've eaten twice at the Barranco location and once in San Isidro, and my opinion of this restaurant improves with each visit. Maybe that's because I was initially influenced by the restaurants' decor, which has that rustic, old-wagon-wheel style that you find in lots of mediocre wanna-be Italian restaurants in the United States, where I'm from.

Pasta dishes at Antiqa are delicious and memorable -- I've tried various seafood pastas and a delicious beef and cream pasta (sorry, I can't remember the name) that was so good, I'm  planning to come back and experience it again. Portions are generous. Flavors are distinctive and strike a good balance between "homey" and "creative." Good breads.

I'd give the pizzas a "3" out of 5 stars. Note that I'd give a 5 to John's Pizza, in NY's Greenwich Village, which is one of the best pizzas in the U.S. For pizza in Lima, I prefer a little place in La Victoria (whose name escapes me at the moment).

My out-of-town guests have raved about Antica when I brought them here. Maybe they were grateful to eat food that was familiar to what they've eaten at home, in the U.S. Based on experiences like those, I've come to view Antica as one of Lima's better restaurant bets.
