Traveled with Oltursa from Lima to Trujillo during Semana Santa. Very smooth. Made my reservation over the phone and later went and payed for my ticket. Very friendly service. The bus was very modern and peaceful. The movies were decent and they even served lunch (lomo saltado).

    Par for the course, cruz del sur a little better, a little pricier.  but a little less comfortable.  For your trips up north and south, but not inland, take the buses, strongly advise flying in Peru if it is in the Andes, more people seem to get killed this way than flying.
