(LIP-jl) -- To commemorate the life and work of John Lennon, local artists will hold three concerts over the holiday weekend honoring one of modern music’s greatest legends. The 26 year anniversary of his death is tomorrow, December 8.
The first concert, named “One day in the life” will be held at the Teatro Peruano Japonés in Jesus Maria, on Friday December 8, and Saturday December 9.
Scheduled to perform is local artist Geraldo Manuel, and the groups We All Together and Fragile. The complete Beatles’ album Revolver will be covered in its entirety.
The district of San Miguel is also celebrating the life of John Lennon with a whole week dedicated to the late Beatle. The celebration started on Tuesday and ends on Saturday night. There will be acoustic covers of famous Lennon/Beatles songs, as well as discussions regarding the impact of the Beatles on music.

The festivities will conclude Saturday night with a free concert by the band Revolver, and other local musicians such as the former vocalist of the Spanish rock group TK, Diego Dibos. The concert will be held at the Explanada de la Feria del Pacifico at 6pm.
The last event will be held at the Cocodrilo Verde in Miraflores and will be hosted by the local group Cuarto Blanco who plan to cover Beatles’ hits from every period of their existence.
