Has escuchado que estan pasando un off-Broadway play de Pantaleon y Los Visitadores?
Maybe Living In Peru can get someone to write about that. I'm pretty excited about it and may hit a show soon.
Thank you so much for the comment!# Juan Valdez says :
You should e-mail me and tell me more about this off-Broadway play. :)

# Cindy Rodriguez says :I'VE BEEN THERE AND ITS NOT A REAL "PENA" ITS REALLY A LATIN JAZZ CLUB WITH A BIT OF PERUVIAN ESSENCE (THE CAJON REALLY MAKES IT THE ONLY PERUVIAN THING) OTHERWISE IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO TO A "REAL PENA" GO ACROSS THE BRIDGE TO PATTERSON NJ WHERE YOU'LL FIND "REAL PENAS" WITH "REAL PEOPLE SINGING", WHERE THE AUDIENCE SINGS ALONG CLAPS ALONG AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN.....THIS CLUB IS BORING!!!
Thank you for the comment, Juan.# Victoria says :
So sorry to hear you didn't have a positive experience at Tutuma Social Club. I'm always happy to hear from fellow Peruvians. I've been up and around Paterson being from New Jersey myself so if you would like to e-mail me some suggestions that would be awesome.
Arriba Peru!

Thanks for the info. I am Peruvian and live on Long Island and my husband is American. When we were in Lima, we went to a peña and my husband had a blast!!!. I was looking for places especially in Manhattan to have fun at the "Peruvian style". If this is how you described it, we will definitely visit that place!!!# Federico says :
I find Patterson a scary place to go at night. I rather gon into manhattan...# Michele Butler Martel says :
I've always wanted to experience a pena as a grown up, I vaguely remember them when I was small. But get so nostalgic when I hear the music. Especialmente musica criolla. Vive Peru Carajo!
