The Express Collective Theater group in co-production with La Mina Productions and with the support of the Municipality of Surco presents “Fiesta de Brujas (Witch Party)”, written by Sol Moscoso and directed by Nany Florez. The play premieres on Saturday, October 21 at the Auditorium of Parque de la Amistad in Surco at 4:00 p.m.
The play tells the story of Cici, an 11-year-old girl who is looking for a Halloween costume to go to a party that her friend Teffy organizes every year. This year the theme of the party is “fairy tales”. But her father is not going to let her wear a normal costume, he wants her to be the queen of the party. So he tells her five stories, hoping to talk Cici into wearing a princess costume. Then Cici has an idea: she wants to be dressed as a witch. Can a witch take the crown?
A fun proposal where the story characters come alive and interact with a girl and a father who seeks to understand why classic stories keep linking witches with evilness and fairies princesses with kindness.
The cast of the work consists of Camila Arelí, Brayan Vílchez, Kriss Ayala, Pamela Leon and Oscar Chico.
