Judith Miller, a reporter for The Times, was sent to jail after a federal judge declared that she was "defying the law" when publishing the name of a CIA agent (witch is prohibited for the United States laws) in an article and now denying to reveal the name of the source that informed her about the CIA agent.

The judge has ordered her detention until October, but she could be released earlier if she agrees to reveal the name of her source.
Matt Cooper, a reporter for Time Magazine is also involved in the case, but as his employer handed over his notebooks to the federal judge, he has no other option than to cooperate.
Many mass media have showed their solidarity with Miller and says that this case is serious attack against the freedom of expression.
