Peru's MINCETUR to invest US 28 million dollars in 2010 to promote tourism

Martín Pérez, Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) announced that his portfolio will invest S/. 84 million soles (S/. 28 million dollars) during 2010 in order to promote tourism in Peru.
Pérez also confirmed that there's a project to open an international airport in Pisco, “which would be a very good thing for the country,” he told CPN Radio.
The Minister also said that he is sure that Peru will be able to eradicate the terrorism in the VRAE region, and he invoked the Peruvians to welcome the tourists and take good care of them “because tourism always brings along progress.”
