The Peruvian pilot Abraham Ortega
died today, after suffering a terrible accident in his vehicle while he was taking part of the “Caminos del Inca” race.
His vehicle, a Subaru Impreza, lost control, went off the road and and fell down to a slope of about 50m (100 feet) high.
According to the Peruvian Police, the unfortunate accident took place this morning at the kilometer 740 of South Panamericana, in Atico, in the Arequipa region (Southern Peru).
Ortega and his co-pilot, Tomas Calla, were taken to the Health Center of Atico, but the pilot died die to the severity of his injuries.
Calla suffered from a broken arm, and was supposed to be sent to Lima.
