The lung that was stolen yesterday from the exhibition “The human body –real and fascinating” held in Plaza Camacho Mall (in La Molina) was returned today.

The organizers in Peru received an anonymous telephone call warning them that they would find the organ in a bag in the parking area of the mall.

Susan Hoefken, General Manager of Impacto Producciones, told the media that the US $2,000 reward was not claimed.

The lung is one of the 200 organs featured in the exhibition, that includes 12 bodies of Chinese citizens who donated their remains to Medicine.

It shows signs of damage for smog pollution.
