Peru will start today its official “Peru's Week Against Cancer,” with many activities including the inauguration of a Cancer Prevention Center in Lima’s district Lince.
Lince is joining this campaign with conferences, guest artists, gastronomic fairs and awards for the best essays and works on cancer prevention.
Several local organizations have joined this education and prevention campaign, which seeks to raise awareness around cancer issues.
The campaign will be presided by Carlos Vallejos, Institutional Chief of National Institute for Cancer (INEN), Martín Príncipe, Mayor of Lince, and Peru's Health Ministry's representatives.
All activities start today at the Municipality Cancer Preventorium, located in Lince's Mariscal Castilla Municipal Park.
