Limenians saw a true sports fiesta this Sunday morning in Lima streets thanks to the
8th Grand RPP Marathon, bringing together almost 20 thousand young and senior athletes from Peru and other countries as well.
Professional athletes ran along with local show business celebrities and even some politicians.
People from all ages came today and shone with enthusiasm, showing a lot of energy in every step of the route.
The great number of senior runners proved that despite their age, they are still ready for high competition.
People gathering along the route became additional participants, supporting the athletes.
The winners for every category were:
10km Category: Mariano Soto from Huancavelica
21km Category: Waldir Ureta from Junín
Disabled People Category: Elmer Cáceres from Arequipa
Ladies Category: Gladys Tejera from Junín
