Peru's Córpac (Corporation of Airports Civil Aviation) reported that the rehabilitation project in the airport FAP Alfredo Mendivil (in the region of Ayacucho ) have been taking place for a few months at present.
Thus, it is expected that all the work, which is being completed gradually,
can be finished on December 23rd.
According to the terms of the contract, the investment will amount S/. 2,731, 998.62 (some US $900,000), reported El Comercio.
"The main objective is to correct the most deteriorated areas of pavement of the runway, according to the methods and standards recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization," said Hugo Tello Castillo, chairman of Córpac.
