According to research conducted by the consultant firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), 77% out of 64 companies polled expect 2010 to be a better year, not only for the corporations but also for their employees; they are planning to give their staff a raise of 5.5% on average.

In the other hand, 23% have not considered a salary raise yet.

According to this PwC's survey, the increases would be of 5.7% for general managers, 6% for executives, 5.8% for employees and 5.3% for workers.

The same survey indicates that 47% of the companies expect to keep the same staff during 2010, while 44% think they could hire more people and only 9% estimate that they might need to lay off people.

The survey foresees an average increase of staff of 6.9%

In addition, a survey conducted by the Universidad Católica states that 78% of the Peruvian businessmen consider their staff as “Important” or “very important,” while 21% think that they are “a bit important” or “not important.”

hmmm 5% added to my 700 soles per month.....enough to buy a pair of shoes from china.
That is if I get the raise, what percentage of peruvians are under contract with no security.....When will the workers get the security and wages it needs to survive? Peru , it needs to follow the democratic model and educate the masses, redistribute the wealth to them.
A true story of the rich getting richer and the poor starving to death. Will the servants that work in the beach houses in asia get a raise ?
