Peruvian oil company Petroperú (Petroleos del Perú) and Axens have signed a first contract for the modernization of Talara, Petroperú’s largest refinery.
The main objectives are the expansion of the refinery and the implementation of new units for higher quality products.
Axens will supply the following process technologies for the refinery: Naphtha Hydrotreater - 13,300 bpd, Semi-Regenerative Reformer - 9,500 bpd, Prime-G+™ - 9,500 bpd for FCC gasoline de-sulfurization unit, Sulfrex - 8,000 bpd unit for the treatment of unsaturated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
The agreement was signed at Petroperú Headquarters by the President of Petroperu, Luis Rebolledo, and Jean Claude Plumail, Process Licensing Business unit Commercial Director, Axens.
