The 380-page dossier that summarizes the findings of the investigation on the espionage case that Peru sent to Chile
is being revised by Chile's Foreign Ministry since last Thursday, when this process officially started with a meeting which was attended by the Chilean Ambassador to Peru, Fabio Vio.
It is expected that Chile will issue an official statement on November 23rd or 24th, according to the Chilean newspaper La Tercera.
"The Chilean government's decision, however, is to just revise the case, and not to start an investigation, as Peru has requested,” says the newspaper, pointing out at the fact that Peru “has not sent any of the encrypted texts that the police seized from the computer of the spy."
"Chile will review these documents very seriously,” said the spokeswoman for Chile's Executive, Carolina Toha.
