Work opportunities in Peru could increase by 6% in 2010 due to the dynamism of the economy and the continuation economic stimulus plan, PEE in Spanish, said the Ministry of Labour and Promotion of Labor.
“Taking into account the recovery of the world economy and what is still left to execute from the PEE, we foresee that employment in companies of 10 or more workers should increase between 5 to 6% next year,” indicated the Viceminister of Promotion of Labor and Training, Javier Barreda.
He said that making a balance in these companies, this year labor should increase by 2%.
Barreda considered it important to expand the Special Program of Labour Restructuring, denominated “Revalora Perú,” which has been set forth by the executive power in a law project.
This will allow the benefits of the program to reach a total of 50,000 workers from which 33,000 have already inscribed; in other words, it will benefit 17,000 additional workers.
