All set for Metallica's concert in Lima, Peru

Andina

Coqui Fernandez, responsible for bringing heavy metal band Metallica to Lima, gave some details about the band’s upcoming show on January 19 at San Marcos stadium in Lima, Peru.

In an interview with RPP, event organizar Coqui Fernandez said the band from Los Angeles, California is set to hold Tuesday an unprecedented concert in Lima, “because Metallica puts on great live heavy metal shows.”

"They never stop playing. Metallica doesn’t need to rehearse the 25 songs they usually play in concerts. Lar Ulrich, for example, prepares the setlist two hours before the show," he told RPP radio.

When asked about security precautions for the event, Fernandez said that in addition to the 380 policemen outside the arena, there will be 90 officers at each door.
