Peru’s Claudio Pizarro scored for Bremen, although his team was eliminated from Euroleague

Werder Bremen and Valencia drew 4-4 and Pizarro scored the last goal of the match. Last week the score was 1-1. The Spanish team goes through the next stage of Euroleague.

Peruvian forward Claudio Pizarro scored a goal today, but couldn’t avoid his team disqualification from Europe League. Werder Bremen was eliminated by Spanish Valencia due to goals scored away.

Spanish international David Villa and Juan Mata scored the first two goals for the visitors at 3′ and 15′. Meanwhile, Pizarro appeared to give teammate an assistance for the Germans at 26′. Villa scored again for Valencia at 45′ to put the match 3-1.

Torsten Frings at 37′ put the second one for the local team through a penalty kick and Marin got the equalizer at 61′.

Five minutes later Valencia went ahead thanks to Villa, at 66′. Pizarro equalized seven minutes from time. With the score 4-4 Bremen attacked but couldn’t get the winning goal.
