Peru: 10 people arrested at Lima Airport trying to smuggle 51 kg of cocaine

Ten people, including four Spanish and three Peruvian citizens, were arrested at International Airport Jorge Chavez while trying to smuggle a total of 51 kg of cocaine to Spain, reported the Anti-Drugs Police Squad.

The Spanish citizens are Javier Fuentes (33), carrying 12.2 kg of cocaine in her luggage; Inmaculada Fernández (28), with 3.9 kg packed along with sweets; Emilio Cortés (21), carrying 5.4 kg, and Jesús del Río (37) with 1.1 kg of the same drug.

Peruvian police also captured Phillipine Liza Pallano (37), with 8.2 kg of cocaine; Portuguese Ricardo Gomes (29) with 4.5 kg; and Letonian citizen Canout Vsacasiaos (34), who was hiding 6 kg of the same drug.

The Anti-Drug Squad also arrested three Peruvian citizens; Nataniel López (28), Alex Naveda (21) and Marisela Mendieta (26).
