Peru's Peter Lopez won the champion title at Taekwondo Open WorldPeruvian Peter Lopez won the gold medal at Under 68 kg category with a overwhelming victory: he won the champion title at Taekwondo Open World last Saturday 29 at Montreal, informed Peruvian Institute of Sports, which helped Lopez to travel to Canada.

Lopez, who participated at Under 68 kg category, had a clear victory of 7-1 in the final against American Moriah.

Last March, Lopez won the gold medal at Medellin South American Games.

This medals will allow Peter Lopez to take valuable points for the world ranking, which will be important for him to fight for a place in next London 2012 Olympics, where he aims to take gold.

The competition took place at Montreal’s Pierre Charbonneau Center, with participants coming from Canada, Cuba, China, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Holland, United States, Ucraine and Peru.
