Ex-President Alan García maintained his lead over Lourdes Flores and is almost assured to join Ollanta Humala in the second round of presidential voting.
The official report confirmed that with nearly 99% of the votes counted Humala has 30.7% of the votes, García 24.3% and Flores 23.7%. The difference in votes between García and Flores is approximately 78,000.
