(LIP-ir) -- Hollywood star, Cameron Diaz woke up early today to appreciate an unforgettable sunrise at the Imperial City.
This is Cameron's fourth day in Cusco and she has taken full advantage of each day.
Accompanied by Freddy Puma -a young leader in Chinchero and Andean culture expert-, Tourism police, members of her production and security crew, Diaz was able to delight in the sun's rays as they rose over the mountains at the archeological capital of America.
She enjoyed the sunset from the highest point of the citadel, an esplanade atop an old Incan roof which is used as a vantage point. Diaz was later intrigued when she arrived to the area known as La Cantera where she admired an eagle while taking several pictures of it.
After 7:30 a.m. Diaz took a moment to pose for national and international press who were happy to take pictures of the North American actress. After the "photo session" Diaz, accompanied by plenty of security, headed to Huayna Picchu hill. At this time access was denied to all press.
Cameron's chief of security, Luis Ponce, stated that she would not be making any statements and asked the press to keep their distance during the actress' stay in Cusco.
In an attempt to avoid the press, Cameron left her Machu Picchu hotel at 5 a.m. and took a private bus to the citadel.
