More Illegal Immigrants form Peru Crossing U.S. Border to Texas, U.S.

(LIP-ir) -- Peru's consul in Houston, Texas, U.S., Eduardo Rivoldi, has stated that according to reports given by the U.S. border Patrol, each year more Peruvians are caught illegally attempting to enter the U.S. through Texas.

"Between January and March, a safe-conduct was given to 250 Peruvians and it is projected that by the end of the year, 500 or 600 Peruvians will have been deported from the U.S. after having been caught crossing the border, attempting to illegally enter Texas," stated Rivoldi.

Peru's consul reported that in 2006, the Peruvian consulate in Houston issued 197 safe-conducts and fears that it is projected that the number will increase by 300 percent this year.

Rivoldi stated that the consulate's main priority is to take care of the detained Peruvians waiting for deportation. "The day's main task is taking care of the Peruvians detained in the 15 detention centers across the Texas border, " said Rivoldi.

Illegal Immigrant, yes! Thank the stars! I finally am able to read an article that does not cave to the political correct term by saying, Undocumented Worker. This reminds me of the Handicap verses Disabled postings.

Yes Capitalism is such a bad thing, and yet all these poor souls seem to flock towards it. Mr. Jason Smith, what are we ever too do? I guess we could always raise even more taxes & provide even more of that famous milk & honey that America provides. So in the end, maybe this is a long term dream come true for you guys right?

Crossing the US border isn't a suicidal act of stupidity... Its crossing over to Mexico from Central America on the way to the US. Illegals are routinely beaten, robbed and killed by the Mexican police. Apparently it's the latest national pastime.

But Fred, in the end Texas, Ariz, N. Mex, & Cali are the bad guys and that is all that people hear about. If these poor souls even make it as far as Mexico, they are considered lucky. If & when they finally make it across the Rio Grande, it is medical attention along with three squares if they are caught by the U.S. Border Patrol.
