Peru: Photo of the day - A New Pisco in 15 Days

(LIP-ir) -- Tons of debris and rubble was removed from the streets of Pisco yesterday, which was the first day of the second stage in the reconstruction of the city. It is planned that within 15 days workers will clear all wreckage from Pisco so new houses can be built. Pisco currently has 46 dump trucks, 18 bulldozers and excavators, 2 fuel trucks, 3 generators and 2 forklifts working on the task. Peru's President Alan Garcia has stated that more heavy machinery is on the way and it is planned that 5,000 tons of debris will be moved per day.
