Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Peruvian Government! That's what I've been trying to tell these people Mr. Belaunde. Is it really necessary to grant the TPS to all the Peruvians that chose to hop the border or stay longer than allowed? Nope!
I can understand those that live or have family in Ica or other devastated areas, well ok. But to all 500,000.
Like I said before, Peru is improving and it isn't necessary to force your way into another country to make it.

Is that a good solution? I don't think so. Not only who came from that area could help. All the money sent to Peru (from anybody) helps Peru's economy thus helping the affected area. I'm sure the number of peruvians coming from the affected area is small and their contributions will make no difference.
Granting TPS to all peruvian will allow the illegal peruvians to find better jobs and be able to send more money to Peru. Besides, granting the TPS only to a portion of the peruvian population will be a burden to the entire process.

OMG julio i just cant comprehend your ideas towards immigrants or is it just towards us, Peruvians?in what ways would it affect you if the U.S government grants the TPS?you dont leave here or do you? Do you know what are the living conditions of those who are immigrants? Do you have children? Do you have dreams? think about it and stop being so self centered. It's not about you, We're talking about thousands of human beings. I mean did you get a higher education past high school or should i say 11th grade. Many families dont have that opportunity and we all know that our country's educational programs cant provide much unless your rich.I personally would do anything in my hands so my kids can pursue a carreer and a better life overall. And imhoping you would the same, stop judgeing those who migrated if everyone was to stay where their at then where would we be?By the way who ever said Peru is getting better dont know what they're talking about or they probably pertain to the minority of "rich getting richer" it would take more then just a couple thousands lo lift up the country and it's not helping the economy.Eventually the economy will get back to before the earthquake but it's not increasing peru's economy whatsoever.

Mr Chancellor Garcia Belaunde, it is important for all the Peruvian Living in the U.S.A. legal or not legal residente being or no being from the area desvastated to do the economy effort to send money to our relatives and to improve the situation of our country ,there is a way to know who lived or who has relatives in the area desvastated, can you prove or investigate each one of us to be sure if we are from this area??? using the common sense we must aide all the Peruvians who works hard for all of us in this moment we help our country as country I do not understand why this kind od discrimination to do favors to only people from this area when all of us WE ARE PERUVIANS,

TPS should benefit citizens from Lima too because the earthquake had an impact there as well. Also, by including immigrants from Lima, which I believe are the majority of Peruvians living in the U.S., many more families in Peru will benefit from remesas. This is another way to look at it. On the other hand, it's important to remember that many Peruvians moved to the U.S. during the terrorist years in Peru, which was a sort of natural disaster, only with a longer duration than an earthquake!!
