Movistar Peru Promotes Sexual Conduct in Cell Phone Game

(LIP-ir) -- Peru's largest cellular phone service provider and a member of the Telefonica family, Movistar Peru recently released an inappropriate sexual game, reported ACI Prensa.

ACI Prensa, a Catholic news agency reported that the game promoted improper sexual conduct and was available to all of Movistar's users without screening for age.

Women in obscene poses, couples in disgusting positions, a man that purchases pornography and homosexuals touching each other are some of the characters in Movistar's new game called "Encuéntrame" (Find me), wrote ACI Prensa in an article posted on its Web site.

It was explained that the game consisted of finding the characters in a picture-advertisement which was given to the cellular phone company's users.

Cell phone users sent a text message to the company, for a fee, and in turn the company sent the person a clue to help him/her find the character.

Finding characters accumulates points and the user with the most points is entered into a raffle for prizes. ACI labeled the picture-advertisement as controversial and reported that it had been sent to the homes of Movistar users.

Please make sure and understand I distance myself from FC.  I am not a bigot and consider his type of bigotry the lowest form of life on the planet right alongside child molesters and rapists.

I do not judge Catholics as bad because the corporation behind the church hid child molestation.  An individual living his or life according to his or her faith is respectable and every person's right.

I am dissapointed that there are so many people too stupid to see the difference between the corporation of the church and the individuals of faith.  I pity their stupidty.

I have more respect for racists, homophobes, drug addicts, or anyone suffering from any other malady besides Christianity, Judaism or Islam. At least those other people can be cured. WOW, Im surprised at the negativity. This article isn't about the church, its about the possibility of my children (or yours) getting unrestricted access to games like this. Who cares who reported it . Im actually appalled by some of your responses. I have absolutely no affiliation which any organized religion, nor do I believe in any versions of the old testament, but if this is the mentality of the people on the other side of religion, I just may reconsider...

I guess you forgot that "Christians" went around the world not that long ago and killed "savages", instituted a witch hunt known as the Inquisition and forced people to become Christian or die. AGAIN, this article isnt about any church or religion. Its about the game.
 
But since some of you turned this into a unwinnable religious debate, I guess Im forced to comment. First, do you really believe in what you're typing? Second, do you understand the difference between individual religious beliefs and the actions of a religious state or government? Does the actions of the very few represent the actions and beliefs of the many?

Imagine if you had to leave your kids for one week with one of two sets of complete strangers without getting to know them, who would it be? The married couple walking out of a church or a married couple walking out of a movie theater?

Regardless of past history and the disgusting actions of less than, emmmm I dont know, less than one percent of the worlds Christians, do you really believe Christianity is the root/cause of the evil in this world? Or maybe, just maybe, that the real evil in this world is somewhere along the lines of: mental instabilities/ chemical imbalances, the psychological changes and effects of people with recently acquired positions of influence,  the quest for and the abuse of power, corruption etc etc etc...

In addition to any and all passports that are not currently being issued to all children of the state. Professor Morton Smith, a Christian, has found a letter by the Bishop of Alexandria (c. 125 C.E.) describing a deleted passage of Mark's Gospel.

Scholars have long wondered at a curious passage in the
canonical Gospel of Mark (undisputedly the oldest of the
canonical gospels) which seems to hint that a detail or two might
have been left out: "Then they came to Jericho. As he was
leaving Jericho with his disciples..." (Mark 10:46). But what
happened in Jericho on Jesus' whistle-stop tour of the
provinces? Did Jesus simply pass through and then leave
without doing or saying anything to anyone? If the visit was so
irrelevant to Jesus' mission, why is it even mentioned? The gap
suggests a mission portion of Marks Gospel.
