I think in this case the government of Peru has decided to not prosecute these thefts, because they are not really thefts. Telefonica has been stealing from customers every month in the form of a "telephone bill".

Well certainly the most wires are stolen, the more everyone's phone bill will be. Though it certainly doesn't help when many of Telefonica's employees or contractors take bribes to install illegal phone, cable, etc.

If a nation will not be governed by the selfcontrol of its people than it must be ruled by tyrants.... That is the future ......... Seems like Peru has a leg up on bringing that into fruicion............

If the government doesn't deal with these people, then the thiefs should be turned over to the people whose telephone service has been disrupted. The People's Court!!!! Pueblo justice!!!Add your comment
